Why do I Need A Music Scheduler?

If you are interested in making music radio, you can probably put together a pretty good playlist; a dozen or fifteen songs that make for a fine hour’s listening.  Many DJ’s say it takes about a quarter hour to build a good playlist, so that would mean a person would spend six hours making each day’s 24-hour playlist.  The question might come:  Why not make a few the great playlists and use them over and over?  Because a ‘playlist’ begins to get old the third time you hear it. If people know the song sequence, they rapidly bore of it. And radio also has to schedule a lot more than music; Station ID’s, promos’, jingles, all kinds of announcements, voice tracks and bumpers have to be included. Successful radio is one that keeps listeners for long periods of time and one that listeners remember and come back to listen more. To put it all together, keeping it fresh, being sure all of the songs rotate and re-schedule the way you want them to, you must work with a tool designed for just this one specific, unique purpose.

What Kind Of Computer Do I Need To Run It?

Music 1 is Windows-native and works on everything from Windows 10 back to XP.  More ram and a quick processor are always better. M1 has a very small foot print requiring only about 500 megs of drive space.

Does Music 1 Work With My Automation System?

Yes, it makes system-specific playlist files for all of the broadcast world's automation systems.

What Does It Cost?

Can I Schedule More Than One Station With Music 1?

Yes, you can schedule playlists for multiple stations using one computer. Each station will have its own licensed database.

What's The Difference Between Music 1 And Other Music Schedulers?

MusicONE delivers the most reliable song rotations of all; each song gets exactly the amount of play and exposure you plan for. M1 does this without violating any of your formatting rules and without leaving empty slots that must later be filled by hand. Music 1 users also finish scheduling and editing in much less time. If someone wants to schedule in the traditional manner, allowing the software the schedule the full log before making any edits, Music 1 also has two other scheduling modes; full automatic and hybrid. See this video.

Why Should I Switch To Music 1?

It produces the most accurate and consistent song rotations and spins. You get error-free playlists each day with much less work-time. Music 1 users average under ten minutes a day working in inter-active mode. Hybrid mode users are under five minutes a playlist. Full automatic schedules are finished in under sixty seconds.
